The comments below come from leaders within ACE Mentor of Nashville/Middle Tennessee after having wrapped up another highly successful year with our annual scholarship banquet:
Congratulations to the ACE Mentor Program of Nashville, Tennessee on another successful year of preparing students for a career in design and construction. Since becoming a mentor in 2003 I have witnessed this program grow from a small collection of dedicated individuals to the engaging, exciting group of professionals and young people it is today. The 2016 ACE Banquet served as a great reminder of all the hard work these students and mentors have invested in making this program a winner.

I have served as a team leader for four years and as a member on the Board of Directors for one year – and I believe this has been our most successful banquet to date. The support from the building industry community was impressive and the banquet made it evident that many of the young people in attendance have bright futures in the industry. All ten teams showcased their projects with confidence and engaged the 400+ person audience with their enthusiasm.

Thank you team leaders and fellow mentors for your service over the past school year. Through your efforts, we were able to award over $50,000 in scholarships at the 2016 ACE Banquet. As a former ACE student, I know first-hand how important the time we commit to mentoring high school students interested in architecture, construction and engineering can be. The guidance I received in the ACE program helped me choose a university and introduced me to my current employer. As a mentor, I am proud to give back to the ACE program by helping the next generation find their passion in our industry.
